Distilled at the long-closed Glen Mhor distillery, this single cask bottling from Gordon & MacPhail is among only a handful of modern release from the distillery. Matured in a refill ex-sherry hogshead for 40 years, there is lashings of nutty and fruity tones, with roasted hazelnut, stewed fruits (cherry, raspberry) and chocolate flavours throughout. Flashes of white pepper spice and tobacco come through in the finish. An exceptionally rare example of this ghost distillery, closed forever just one year after this whisky was made.
