Founded in 1830 in the Lowland's of Scotland, Annandale distillery remained operational until its closure in 1918. Used as a farm up until 2007, and after nearly 7 years of work, was re-opened in 2014. This release comes from a single cask distilled in 2016 from unpeated barley, and was matured in an ex-sherry butt. A classic Lowland citric quality can be found to start, with preserved and freshly zested orange notes joining Christmasy dried fruit and chocolate dipped malt biscuits.
