Batch 12 of GlenAllachie's Cask Strength series is now available, a classic expression of the distillery's cask-forward style. A powerful aroma of rich sherry casks - honey-drenched figs, red berries and molasses are carried on a background of chocolate and hazelnut. The palate is incredibly dense and fruity, like liquid Black Forrest gateau, mocha and plenty of baking spices. Booze soaked cherries and molasses linger in the finish.
