From a distillery known for both their rich history and their innovative new expressions, Suntory?s Toki ('time' in Japanese) is a delicate marriage of exactly that; "The vivid harmony where old meets new". Basil and honey on the nose, with notes of grapefruit and thyme leading to a balanced finish of sweetness and gentle spice.
Originally released in 1969 to commemorate Suntory's 70th Anniversary, the 'Special Reserve' series has had several releases over the years, with this bottle coming some time from the 1980's. The quote on the box says "A supreme blend of rare, specially reserved whiskies vatted at our own distilleries".
