Penderyn's 'Myth' is one of the newest expressions from this iconic Welsh distillery, and is a combination of whisky of different ages, all from ex-bourbon casks. The classic Penderyn profile of sweet fruit (apple, pear) mixes with a hint of citrus. The oak comes through more strongly on the palate and builds to a drying finish. A light and pleasant dram from Wales.
Aber Falls is the first single malt from North Wales in over 100 years. The nose has notes of vanilla, toffee, citrus and sultana. The palate sweet serr notes are found, with creamy malt, dark chocolate and dried fruit and spice. There is a long and lingering finish with fruit and gentle spice.
Proudly baring the Red Dragon of Wales, this new Penderyn whisky starts its life like any other from the distillery, maturing in American oak, before spending the last part of its days picking up a distinctly smoky flavour from casks that previously held peated whisky. The smoke is soft and balances well with the sweet and light character from Penderyn.
Proudly made in Wales, this Penderyn is matured in ex-American oak casks before receiving a final maturation period in Madeira barriques (barrels). Fresh and fruity (apple, citrus) flavours are mingled with creamy fudge notes. A light and easy-drinking style, all the way from Penderyn.
This release from Penderyn is known as their traditional 'house style'. It is aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished further in ex-Madeira wine casks. This combination of casks gives a fresh and creamy nose with notes of cream toffee, rich fruits and raisins. To taste, there is a drying quality which leads to crisp notes and sweetness. Tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla come together to produce a lingering finish.
