This is the barrel strength expression of Michter's US*1 Single Barrel Straight Rye, they have added a cask-strength version. There are notes of vanilla, caramel, and spiciness.

One of the Michter's distilleries rarest releases, this straight rye is matured for 10 years in fire-charred American oak barrels. There are deep notes of vanilla and toffee, which developed into toasted almonds and cinnamon. Crushed pepper and subtle orange are found on the finish.

Distilled in the traditional way with pot stills and matured in charred American white oak casks. Typical of American rye whiskies, we find spiciness in abundance, along with citrus, and a touch of confectionary.
