Highland Park

Distilled in 1982 and bottled after 40 years of maturation, this spectacular old Highland Park is an exceptional example of the most famous whisky from the Orkney's in Scotland. Filled from a refill sherry puncheon, this is a rich and heavy profile not commonly seen in distillery expressions. Stewed raisins infuse with notes of fragrant apple and cigar boxes, with smooth toasted nuts and dark cherry melded with brown sugar. A festive spicyness leads to orange peel and a gentle touch of mint. The heavy wood influence builds with coffee beans, medjool dates and deliciate peat smoke lacing the finish.

Finished in a single ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry cask from the historic Highland Park distillery in the Orkney archipelago, this whisky evokes a scene of tropical fruits on a seashell beach. Papaya, pineapple and crystalised orange flavours are joined by a soft wood smoke, surrounded by a rich and sweet dried-fruit raisiny flavour. Luscious and silky to the end, lingering on heathery peat smoke.

The second release of the Viking Legends series from Highland Park is the 'Valknut'. This whisky has been produced using a higher proportion of local peated malt, as well as a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and ex bourbon casks. There are notes of toasted vanilla pods, cracked black pepper, oak shavings, cloves, aniseed, and aromatic peat smoke.

Distilled at the most northerly distillery in Scotland, Highland Park remains one of the best examples of the Island style. Notes of heather honey sweetness are joined with a malty flavour and exotic stewed fruits. A thread of heather-tinged peat smoke and a lip-smacking salinity cuts through in the finish. A true Scottish classic.

From a combination of 20 sherry seasoned European oak casks, first fill bourbon barrels and refill casks, all selected by master blender Gordon Motion, this 25 year old Highland Park brings you all the classic Orkney magic. The nose is rich, heather honey, zesty marmalade and herbs. Stewed fruits enter the palate accompanied by ginger, caramel fudge, BBQ smoke and fresh sea spray, an old and exceptional Highland Park. This is the 2019 Spring Release, laid down to mature from 1994 and earlier.

This Highland Park release is part of the Viking Legend series. This whisky has been matured sherry seasoned European and American oak casks. The nose has notes of green apples, gentle spices, and campfire. The palate has notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, salty liquorice, and warm aromatic smoke.

Situated on the Orkney Isles, Highland Park is Scotland's most northerly distillery. This 18-year-old from Highland Park provides melted toffee and marzipan notes in tandem with some of the classic light smoke and heather-honey associated with the distillery. A classic staple when it comes to Scotland's coastal distilleries.
