Auchroisk 'Infrequent Flyers' 2008 / 15 years old 56.6%

Matured for 15 years from the Auchroisk distillery, this new release sees the use of flavourful ex-Tawny Port casks from Porto to add layers of plum, blackcurrant and blood orange to the whisky. There is a quality of fruit pastels, and in the words of the bottler Alistair Walker, it is a 'fruit explosion', with a hint of spice creeping in.
