With a total of 11 years of maturation, and the last 24 months spent in an ex-Palo Cortado sherry cask, this Caol Ila is a sweet, maritime and smoky concoction. The nose evokes fishing creels and nets with smoky wooded tones joining in. Touches of winegums and toasted marshmallow linger with apricots and strawberries, ending on toasted oat and ashy peat smoke.
