This expression, distilled at the Glen Elgin distillery in 2007 has been aged for Fifteen years before being finished in a ex Sauternes Hogshead cask and then bottled by Alistair Walker, at the cask's natrual strength of 55.4%
The nose is sweet, caramely and nutty, with notes of peanut brittle and brandy snaps
On the Palate, ther is Glen Elgin's characteristic honeyed sweetness, compimented with rich orchard and stewed fruit notes, brought in from the cask influence.
The finish is long drying and gently spicy, with both savory notes of black pepper and sweet notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
