This expression, distilled at Macduff distillery in 2012 has been aged for ten years and drawn from a single ex Sherry Butt. it has then been bottled at 46% and has not undergone chill-filtration. A richer and darker expression from Macduff , the nose on this dram starts of rich, treacly and full of molasses, before developing in sweet baking spices, damp oak and dunnage warehouse, followed by rich mocha. The palate is thick, rich and mouth coating, dry but yet sweet spices follow along, with hints of crystalized ginger, sweet cinnamon followed by a juicy barley sweetness. The finish is long and lingering, with an abundance of soft dried fruits, dustings of cocoa, and a lovely warming spice on the tail.
