From the West Highland distillery of Oban, this release has been matured first in American and European oak casks and then finished in Montilla Fino seasoned re charred American Oak. The nose has initial notes of clean, slaty sea breeze and then develops into notes of grape, with hints of smoke and spice. The palate is creamy, with malt notes, sea salt, with subtle white pepper spice. To finish, there is sweet and smoky notes, with a peppery aftertaste.
